English translation

Silent, in the season of flowers, the courtyard gate is shut; fair ones stand together in the jade pavilion.

Their hearts are full, they would speak of the palace, but before the parrot they dare not utter a word.

Meaning

The hundred flowers are in bloom, yet the palace courtyard gates stay shut in silence; pretty palace maids stand side by side beneath the corridor, admiring the spring. Full of hidden feelings, they all wish to speak of their sorrows in the palace, but before the parrot none dares breathe a word of her bitterness.
