别滁

花huā光guāng浓nóng烂làn柳liǔ轻qīng明míng，

酌zhuó酒jiǔ花huā前qián送sòng我wǒ行xíng。

The flower-light is thick and brilliant, the willows softly bright; they pour out wine before the flowers to speed me on my way.

我wǒ亦yī且qiě如rú常cháng日rì醉zuì，

莫mò教jiào弦xián管guǎn作zuò离lí声shēng。

I too will get drunk as on any other day—only let not the strings and pipes sound a parting air.

“滁”指滁州。“莫教”意为不要让，“教”按现代普通话使令义读jiào；“弦管”指弦乐与管乐。“常日醉”写暂且像平日一样尽兴饮酒，离声指送别乐曲。
